I am a film director and screenwriter, living and creating in Budapest. In 2020, I graduated with a Film Directing MA at University of Theatre and Film Arts, Budapest with my short film “Mom’s Cat” – which is eligible for the 2023's Student Academy Awards submission by its festival circuit. My previous award-winning short films – “It’s a Match!” and “Referral” – portrays an authentic, dark-humor filled world. The recurring topics in these films are: “humans as animals vs. animals as humans”, malfunctioning society structures and female roles. Currently I am developing my first live-action feature film in the Hungarian Film Fund's Talent Lab program.

‍“Grief can be Yellow” is a non-linear storytelling memoir about grief. The film focuses on the personal memories of loss in a colorful way: sometimes in a contemplative, philosophical tone, sometimes with dark humor. However, the personal loss and fear expands into a collective space, where death is a universal experience with its spiritual interpretations – in contrast to the everyday’s banality. The idea comes from a linocut poster, “Every morning..” which was my winner billboard at the Ferencvárosi Billboard Competition in Budapest (2021).The animation is made by a traditional analogue graphic technique, linocutting, which has stations that are parallel with the long, painful and repetitive work of grieving. The production is based on a 10 pages long screenplay, which was developed in the Jumpstart programme. I am continuously expanding the previsual – animatic – plan of the animation. Currently I am working on the project as the screenwriter, director, animator with a creative producer, Fanni Gór – and we are happy to meet future collaborators and partners.
