After graduating from Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest (MOME) in 2011 with an MA in animation direction, Árpád attended a script writing and directing course for live action films. For two years he was a writer-director at studio ODD and taught at MOME, developing several animated projects as a writer and dramaturg, as well as participating at Animation Sans Frontiéres. Now he is writing and directing commercials, shorts and series as a freelancer.

The Primanima Jumpstart workshop was a great refreshment for me. Participants from different backgrounds were involved in different projects and yet we were able to dig deeper. After the experience of the first day, we redesigned the workshop a bit because they are so good at thinking together that we decided to have group meetings instead of individual consultations during the 10th Primanima Festival. As they all come from different professional backgrounds they complement each other very well. I think it's important that at this level, within the framework of a festival, you can only really move forward with ideas and concepts because it’s a festival. :)  The individual consultations after are much more focused on script development. It varies on how each of us progresses, but here too it is very helpful to have a group discussion. I’m not sure how many projects comes alive, but I’m sure the participants enjoyed it and some of them started to work together as well.
